Ms. Lovely's Bellydance class for beginners:
This class will introduce students to the fundamental movements of belly dance. Focus will be more on proper body alignment and posture, muscular movement and clean execution of movement. A typical class will consist of warm-up,drills focus subject, short dance combinations and a cool down. This class is recommended for students who have never taken a belly dance class and/or are new students. It is also for those whose main focus is exercise and/or social in nature. We'll have a friendly environment with other participants.
Belly dance class 8-session course:
- This class is designed for students with limited or no prior experience in Belly dancing but with the passion and desire to learn the beautiful art and exercise, taught in a safe and friendly environment
- Open to women of all ages, sizes, shapes, background and experiences.
Each class will focus on:
- Introduction to safe dancing practices (warm-up, cool down, stretching and strengthening)
- Basic stance
- Head, shoulder, and hip isolation
- Introduction to simple shimmy (hips and shoulders)
- Moving and travelling steps
- Simple dance routines and combinations
Each class will focus on
- We continue to do the basic foundation, add layering, complexity and variations to basic movements
- Drills, exercises and routines that would refine dance technique
- Drills, exercises and routines that would improve strength and body alignment
- Students will learn combinations and choreography
- Students will learn to dance with the use of props like veil, scarf, etc.
