Lovely’s Belly Dance Mission Statement:
  1. To promote bellydancing in the Philippines and in the whole world.
  2. To give accurate information about the art of bellydance.
  3. To encourage women of all shapes, sizes, and ages to experience bellydancing.
  4. To promote self-confidence and self-empowerment to women of various background .
  5. To encourage and respect the personal expression through dance of students.
  6. To give feedback with kindness to students.
  7. To listen to the feedback of students and workshop participants.
  8. To provide good quality teaching, workshops, haflas and dance venues.
  9. To be part of the fabulous supportive network of bellydancers.
  10. To perform and showcase the different styles of bellydance.

Lovely is a dance enthusiast, a performing artist, an instructor, a choreographer and a lover of arts. 


She has loved the art of dancing all her life. She has strong dance background in jazz, classical and modern ballet, contemporary  dances, Latin dances, cheer dancing, cardio-striptease, polynesian,folkloric and basic hip-hop under Metropolitan Theater Dance teachers and other renowned instructors in the industry.


With her passion in dance, she developed an intense interest in belly dancing and found her true heart in performing and teaching this dance of the Middle East.

She has undergone various dance classes and workshops here and abroad with master belly dance instructors: Ms. Ivelisse Tubens, Ms. Ginajane Grey, Ms. Jane Flores, Ms. Belynda Azhaar, Ms. Pacita Prasarn, Ms. Nicole Iberri of Sahlala Dancers,  Sonia Ochoa and Moria of BDSS, and the Belly dance Masters Tamalyn Dallal and Tito Seif from Egypt.

Lovely has performed for local and international audience including corporate shows, tv shows and events. She has been one of the lead dancers and choreographers of the Annual Philippine Belly Dance Festival (BELLYFEST) since 2007 to 2010.

And was featured in an instructional bellydance book for pregnant women, Sayuntis (Sayaw ng Buntis) by Dr. Faye Cagayan.

She  also performs with her bellydance group Alehat al Raqs (Lovely, Arcel and Nilda) and the Bellylicious Duo (Lovely and Jillianne) in  various events in Metro Manila and nearby provinces.

At present, she is a dance faculty for belly dancing at the Ballet Dance Academy, AST Dance Studio and she holds classes at private companies in Metro Manila and Cavite. She teaches traditional and modern belly dance, as well as Egyptian folkloric, cabaret, gypsy, and fusion.She also incorporates dancing with props such as veil, tambourine, scarves, fan veils and the like, making her style unique and exciting for her students.

Lovely has helped many clients achieve their fitness goals to include weight loss, strengthening, toning and conditioning. Students find that participation in her classes is a fun and rewarding experience. She breaks down challenging moves with her positive attitude towards personal awareness, self-motivation and self-esteem. And she finds nothing more rewarding than passing on this beautiful and empowering art form to other women.  Thus she believes in continuous education to keep her classes fresh and filled with new ideas and new dance movements for her choreography.

In addition, Lovely is a JENESYS Program Grantee for Special Invitations Program for Japanese Language Teachers at Japan Foundation Language Institute Urawa Saitama Japan,  a licensed secondary teacher, and a Masteral degree student at De la Salle University. And presently teaching Japanese Language, Art Appreciation and Physical Education at FEU-East Asia College in Manila.
