Summer Bellydance workshop 2013 - graduation party

After actively participating my summer belly dance workshop and wholeheartedly attending our rehearsals, here are my lovely ladies holding their certificates for a job well done. We had our graduation party held June 4, 2013, at Ms. Lovely's Dance & Arts Studio.

The ladies brought pasta, cake, pica pica food and drinks for a small get together after our class.

It feels good to have ladies who share the same passion in dancing. My studio was filled with happiness and laughter from my ladies

And the sisterhood lives on (even after the workshop)...because we are all looking forward for more dance classes, shows and events...

Egyptian belly dance workshop with Ms.Jane Flores Dunford

with the participants holding their certificates

We had an exciting and fruitful belly dance workshop with Ms. Jane Flores Dunford held May 31, 2013 at Ms. Lovely's Dance & Arts Studio.

She taught us Egyptian and Kuwaiti styles of belly dancing with intermediate and advanced choreography.

We were all amazed by her signature shimmies, which she explained in various styles, from shoulder shimmies to hip shimmies. Not to forget her isolation, layering, and facial expressions to make
the dance beautiful.

Miss Jane is the only Filipina belly dance instructor in Kuwait, and she performs in different Middle Eastern events and shows . And she has perfected
the art of belly dance for many years now.

bellydance instructors Ms. Jane and Ms. Nilda

Belly dance guesting at Maxs Dasmarinas

My lovely belly dance ladies were invited as guest performers at ARJ Music Studio's recital through Ms. Melanie Babar Schmoelz (also one of my ladies) held May 21, 2013 at Maxs Restaurant Dasmarinas City

They performed two dances, four of them in Drama Queen (by Bellydance Superstars) and another four for Badehaibek (Arabian Pop).

It was another exposure for them after our summer belly dance workshop (April to May) and they really did a good job. And I am so proud of them!

Belly dance Demo & Students Exposure at Imus Institute

with my bellydance ladies
I was invited by Dr. Faye Cagayan and Dr. May Hipolito to conduct a belly dance demo for pregnant moms to promote Sayuntis (book) in celebration of Buntis Day at Imus Institute held March 9, 2013.

It was sponsored by the Philippine OB-Gyne Society and the local government of Imus Cavite, with guest speakers Counselor Gem Yulo and Mayor Manny Maliksi.

I have brought along my lovely belly dance ladies and we performed two dances after my belly dance demo.

It was their first belly dance exposure together and they really had fun. They also received gift items as a token for dancing at the event.
