Bellydance Summer Recital 2012

We had a successful summer recital this year entitled "Classics to Pop", held May 19th at Tejeros Hall Island Cove Kawit Cavite with recitalists from Ballet Dance Academy.

My lovely bellydance students performed three (3) dances which I called Bellydance in Fusion..bellydancing fused (or incorporated) with other dance styles to make it more flavorful and exciting for the audience. We had Arabic Tango, Bellydance Salsa and Bellynesian (bellydance -polynesian).

My ladies had only been dancing for a couple of months and some of them for a couple of weeks, yet I'm glad to know that they did an awesome job. Its their first recital and I am proud to say that they achieved a lot in a very short time of rehearsal. They learned the choreography wholeheartedly and executed the dance steps enthusiastically and that is very important for me, to see the students enjoying the dance is a joyful sight for every instructor. I am so happy with the outcome though they are in beginners and improvers level.

It was really a great show alongside ballet and hiphop dancers who also performed amazing numbers. Kudos to my fellow instructors, staff and crew, especially to our dance directress Ms. Nida O. Pangan. I am pleased and honored to be part of this show, and I'm looking forward for another superb show in the future....let's celebrate the joy of dancing!
